State Museum of Kazakh Musical Instruments.
The Museum of Kazakh Musical Instruments was built in 1908. The author of the project is architect A.P. Zenkov. This wonderful example of wooden architecture of the early XX century is a former The Verny Officers' Assembly House is located in the western part of Panfilov Park and is the most original building in the city. Since 1980, the Republican Museum of Folk Instruments, one of the few similar in the world, has been opened here. The museum has an extensive collection of traditional Kazakh instruments: wooden harps and horns, bagpipes, two—string dombra and three-string kobyz - more than 60 varieties in total. During the tour, you can listen to recordings of these unique instruments, and also play a real dombra.
Musical instruments of outstanding musicians of Kazakhstan of the past, improvisational singers and composers Abai, Birzhan, Olas, Seitek, Dina Nurpeisova and others are also exhibited here.
The tour of the halls is complemented by the performance of the ensemble of folk musical instruments "Sazdar Syry", the program of which is made up of folk kuys, ancient songs and dances. In front of the museum there is a sculptural image of the national musical instrument of the drug gang.
